Each segment of the awards scheme will adopt the following processes and procedures to determine the winners.

A) CEOs

Awardees will be the CEOs in each delineated sector that are on the ballot list and win the highest number of continent-wide votes by the general public.

• Step 1: Nominations will be invited from the public through public announcements in AfCFTA signatory countries local media and the websites of several pan African institutions including that of AfCFTA itself. Both self-nominations and third party nominations will be accepted, but thy must follow the format set out in the invitation for nominations

• Step 2: All validated nominations will be forwarded to the organizers for examination and assessment by a specially contracted team of research consultants. These consultants will trim the number of nominations to a manageable number per category by eliminating the least competitive nominations based on the criteria established above. However deliberate effort will be made to ensure that as many countries – and all sub regions – are represented in the ensuing short lists for each category.

• Step 3:All nominations short listed will then be put on the ballot for voting. Subsequently voting will take pace continent-wide. The results will be validated by a reputed African audit firm and subsequently announced by the organizers.

• Step 4: Awardees will then be formally conferred with their awards at a five star gala event at the Intercontinental Resort Baclava-Mauritius.


The awards selection process for chambers will be as follows:

• Step 1: Nominations will be invited from the public and the process will continue as in steps 1 to 3 for the CEO awards.

• Step 4: All nominations shortlisted will be forwarded to the specially constituted Awards Selection Jury (see above) for deliberation.’

• Step 5: Nominees will be eliminated in successive rounds of voting until a no,minee secures a simple majority and is thus declared the winner.

• Step 6: The awardees will then be conferred formally with their awards at the five star gala event at the Intercontinental Resort Baclava-Mauritius.
